About Us
Astral Realms is for those who have wondered whether consciousness can extend beyond the waking mind and who want to find out for themselves rather than take anyone’s word for it.
Some people have had an experience they can’t quite explain: a vivid dream that felt more real than waking life, a moment of floating awareness on the edge of sleep, or a deep meditation where the body seemed to fall away. Others are simply curious. Astral Realms is for both.
For decades, researchers, meditators and even government programs have studied expanded states of awareness: out-of-body experiences, lucid dreaming, deep meditative focus and remote perception. Much of this work was once hidden, dismissed or buried in technical language. Today it is more open to explore than ever, and it no longer requires a leap of faith. It needs practice, patience and a willingness to pay close attention to your own mind.
Astral Realms exists to be a clear, grounded guide to that territory.
Exploration, Not Belief
The central question here isn’t “What should I believe?” It’s “What can I experience?”
We look at the methods, the research and the history behind consciousness exploration, from binaural audio and guided focus states to the declassified studies that took these questions seriously. We separate what has been documented from what has been exaggerated, and we’re honest about what remains unknown.
The Journey Behind Astral Realms
Astral Realms was founded by Michael Peterson, whose search for understanding began within Catholicism, where he served as an instituted Acolyte. That path gave him discipline and a habit of reflection, and it also raised questions that doctrine alone couldn’t answer.
Those questions led him into science and consciousness research, and in 2026 he founded Deepest Truths to explore what modern discoveries are revealing about the nature of mind and reality.
But understanding is only half of it. Somewhere along the way, the question shifted from “What is consciousness?” to “What is it like to explore it directly?” Astral Realms is the answer to that second question: a sister project devoted not to theory, but to practice.
